for this piece I used many layers of acrylic paint and spray paint. I chose to splatter lines across the page to give the artwork a nonobjective and modern touch. I used spray paint to transcend the lines from an orange to a pink to a purple. I stuggled getting the lines the way i envisioned so i ended up doing several different layers till i was satisfied. Overall i like the way my art piece turned out.
I made this work of art for my mom on mothers day, It contains 16 hearts and i used alcohol ink to create it. It was difficult to get the colors to blend the way i wanted but i am still happy of the outcome. The hearts have a nonobjective modern look to them and i used some glitter alcohol to make the piece sparkle in the light. In the end my mother enjoyed the final outcome. I might continue to work on this piece in the future.
This is one of my darker Indian ink art pieces and i still dont know if i like it. I might update this piece in the future. I started with mixing a bunch of ink together. I exploded the ink with alcohol and gave the whole paper a splatter color look. Afterwards i covered some parts of the paper with tape and filled the rest of the piece in with black. When I took the tape off, this was the final outcome.
This was a very interesting and fun piece to create. I used many different colors of Indian ink and combined them together with a thin stick. While experimenting with the ink i learned how to overlay different colors. I am very satisfied the way it turned out. It looks to me like a dark galaxy on a white canvas with spots of vibrant colors coming through. The piece shows me that there is always positive (vibrant colors) in the dark and gloomy.
This is personally one of my favorite pieces. There are so many textures and colors it chaotic. There is always something new to look at with this piece.
